A Bit of Background
Here at Kitten Cottage Cavan, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is two little boys who wanted to save 3 Kittens. Those 3 Kittens have turned into nearly 9000 Cats and Kittens. We also help a lot of other animals such as Foxes, Hedgehogs, Rabbits, Hares, Birds (little &big), Squirrels, a few dogs and an Otter.

Sometimes our poor mammy cats can't take care of their babies, this its where we step in. Just like feeding a baby, every 3 hours we're up to make sure the Kittens are getting all the Vitamins, Nutrients and Love they so truly deserve.
Trap, Neuter and Release Program
Our TNR program has been hugely successful over the years, but our work never stops as for every 1 female can have up to 18 Kittens per Season. To help prevent the amount of unwanted kittens, we set Trap them (with food in a trap), bring them to the local vet to have the neutered or spayed, and we care for them until they're fully recovered. We then release them back to the area they came from. We are grateful for the important contribution made to us by the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries & Marine Ex Grata Grant funding to Animal Welfare Groups.
